Full English Breakfast

The classic British fry-up with all the traditional components.

Ingredients

  • 4 sausages
  • 4 rashers bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tin baked beans
  • 4 slices bread
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter

Method

  1. 1

    Fry or grill sausages until golden. Add bacon until crisp

    Fry mushrooms in butter/oil. Season. Grill tomatoes cut-side up

    Warm baked beans in a small saucepan

    Cook eggs to preferred style

  5. 5

    Toast bread. Serve warm with butter

    Plate sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, and toast

Storing & freezing

Best served fresh. Cooked elements refrigerate 2 days. Freeze cooked sausages up to 3 months.

  • Potatoes: Plant in spring, earth up regularly
  • Beans: Grow dwarf haricot beans in summer
